Truth

The truth is always hurting when it is not the desired answer. Instead of harping on it, accept it and move on. I have. What about you?

I hope my message gets across. When things change, some things can never be the same again. When a bud grows into a flower, can you change it back? You can never. The truth is just so clear cut. Maybe some time later, we can still be friends like how we used to be. But as of now, I am still unable to bring myself to walk beside you taking that things have never happened, laugh and hang out as we use to be. Because we are no longer who we used to be.

This is just the truth. Well, accept it. =)

Had a great week.

Last week was a great week. Discovered new things in life and lead life in a different way too. But a healthier one. Exercise regime for me is a must now every week with a must for runs, gym & swim. Stepping into a new work environment and I learn to discover new things around me. This had been interesting and enriching too. Below are some of the little bits and pieces of my life that i want to share here.

Well, I am suppose to be serving my reservist this week. Due to my new employment, I have no choice but to defer. It's for my future. Though I do miss my buddies who are now back in camp. Well, in life sometimes there are sacrifices that you have to be make, for the better.

It has been a retail therapy week. And before that had a mini meet up with ex-colleagues....

My Short Break last week.......

On Monday, I bid farewell to Takashimaya. Kind of sad to leave but circumstances forbid me to further stay on. I brought along tonnes of experiences and memories with me. Thank you Takashimaya.

And Tuesday started off my short break. Worked out on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Gym + Swim. Met up with friends for dinner too. Thursday was a luxury day indeed... Lunch Buffet at Sheraton Hotel! Love the ambience. =)

Nice waterfall from our table view. But do note that it can get really bright and warm when the sun is high up after noon time.

Here's the spread. Love the broccoli with cheese, crayfish salad and tamago. Desserts was excellent. But no pics as the dessert was too good for me to indulge in that I forgot all about taking pictures. Aloe Vera with Jelly and Chocolate Pudding is a must try!

After a day of shopping we settled at 10 Scotts @ Grand Hyatt for drinks. The white wine, Cloudy Bay as seen above was damn good!! It's somehow amazing as how social media connects people. Posted this pic on my Facebook and my long time no see ex-sergeant Alan Lai commented. There comes Wendy my ex-Taka colleague whom were also mutual friends with Alan came in to comment too after realising that we actually know each other. And we ended up chatting on Facebook. The world indeed is very small!

Found this new flavour at OG on Friday and I raided the whole shelves of E-MA for myself and helping Alanis to buy. Acerola flavour is rather good too. Still searching for Peach flavour.

Prologue was having less 20% storewide sales. Got myself stationery and notebooks for my new job. There was this $5 sure-win lucky draw and I so wanted to win Malcom Gladwell's book. And I got it!! I did not draw this prize but as my win was another book, the very nice lady allowed me to change! 

Virgin try of Twelve Cupcakes and indeed it was very much to my liking. For the not so sweet icings and creams as well as the "just nice size" per cupcake was very much to my preference indeed. 

Family dinner on Sunday. It's really been years since the 4 of us took a photo together. The last time was when we were all so young. Bro, cousins and me! =)

Work so far has been fine on the first day. I hope in time to come I can cope well and do well. I will work hard! Gambeteh!!

Love Life Like This

Simply love life like this.

Had a simple and healthy breakfast of cereal with milk & enjoying a cup of coffee at home today before hitting the gym. Worked out and went for a swim thereafter. Had a tan as well. Love lying under the sun, enjoy the breeze at the pool.

Met loved ones for dinner and shopping. Catching up with each other and laughing over jokes. Now backed home and watching TV.

I ever blogged that I am like an old man living in the body of a young man. This is the type of life I look forward to after retirement. But before that I need to work real hard in order for such life in future. Before I start working real hard next week, let me get the best out of this short break. =)

As I prepare to move on....

Coming Monday shall be my last working day at Takashimaya. Can't believe that these almost 2 years with the company just pass by so fast.

Here as I prepare to move on, I somehow have started to miss my great colleagues especially Food Department. My time spent there haven been the best and most enjoyable one. Thank you all for the fun, laughter, guidance and concern. Deep down within me I really appreciate it.

Time spent with A&P was not that bad either. I gained the most valuable experience on Advertising, Promotion, Marketing & PR. It's just a pity, just when I am starting to know you guys better I have to make this decision to leave. Still, I thank all for giving me assistance whenever I needed it.

When it was time to leave, I made more friends, be it from other departments or suppliers. I don't know what I have done to deserve such good treatment from you guys. I hope it is my good working attitude and cooperation that left the good impression as I do not know you guys for very long. Nonetheless, thank you so much Alan & Lisa. Really thank you for the gifts and lunch treats.

I am really glad I have ever worked at Taka. I am glad our journey in life did crossed each other this life. As we all move on, I hope to keep in touch with all of you and do say "HI" whenever we see each other outside.
